Animatic Storyboard Survey Results

- Most people agreed that there is a relationship between the pace of the music and the visuals. Which is important as I want to sync the visuals with the song, so the story makes sense. -

- A lot of people noticed that there was inter-textual reference, two said that the inter-textual reference was from the film 'Ghost' starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, which was surprisingly right as I didn't expect the audience to know straight away. Maybe is because they related the movie to this animatic story board and the narrative slightly reminded them of Ghost. -

There was different views on the genre and theme of the music video. A few said Romance which was right, some said it was Pop and found it unusual since the music video is about two couples, and usually Pop music doesn't always follow a couple-like story. However one said country which was right.

- Most people said that there was an efficient amount of shots used, which was a relief to me, proving that I am using the right amount of different shots. -

- Most viewers said that the storyboard follows a linear narrative and made sense to them. This is evidence that the narrative is very well organised and appeals to my target audience. -

- The good thing about this question is that most viewers said there were enough close-ups. Which is important as I'm focusing the video around the main characters life and selling his music -

- The majority of people thought that there was a lot of repetitive shots used for the animatic storyboard. To avoid this, I should use a diverse range of shots for the real video. -

-Everyone who took the survey, apparently found the music video very entertaining. According to the results all 8 viewers thought the music video was very enjoyable, which was a relief which shows that my music video is going in the right direction. I received additional and positive comments by the viewer informing me that the video was 'Very touching' and 'Promising video' -

The images shown above are my results from my Animatic Storyboard that I posted on youtube, which I then posted on facebook and asked nicely to complete my survey on surveymonkey. I thought of questions, relevant to the Animatic Storyboard asking them what they thought of it, such as, if there were too much repetitive shots used or does the narrative make sense and sync with the song. Overall I am very happy with the feedbacks I recieve from my viewers. The majority of the results were positive according to the results and the comments were decent as well. The results I recieve will help me progress when making my actual music video as it will allow me to point out mistakes and a few tweaks I could apply to make the video a lot better than what I had visualised before.
