Location Request - St Anne's Limehouse Church - Email to the Reverend

On the images above, you can see that I emailed the Reverend of St Anne's Limehouse Church, asking permission to use their grounds for our A2 Media Project. I chose this location because the atmosphere and the layout of the foreground was really appealing for the music video and it seems appropriate. Luckily they replied quickly, and they accepted our request but for a few conditions that he listed on the second image above.

Resources

This is a resource list that is done by Mumina Begum. This list allows to ensure the essential equipment that we currently have and also the costume and props that we could use for the music video. For example - the costume tells us that we should wear clothes that are appropriate for winter, such as scarves, boots etc.

Risk Assessment and Recce of Locations

Risk Assessment of Locations
I created a Risk Assessment for each locations that me and my colleague will be filming in. Making a risk assessment becomes helpful to us, in order to avoid casualities to both the production and the people who will be participating creating the music video. At the last collumn, I created a sub heading called "Control Measures" and from this, wrote how we can avoid it as a group.

 Recce of Locations
Recce of Locations allowed me to foresee what the casualities could happen to the production from the main areas that me and my colleague are going to film in. From these possible issues, we made plans of how we are going to avoid each casuality, this becomes helpful to avoid jeopardising the filming.

Minutes of Meeting - no:1 - Planning

This is a minutes of meeting that me and my colleague created. I did the note taking and together as a team we discussed the issues that could come across when planning the music video. From the issues, we made solutions to each issue and what we could take into action. Finally who will be responsible for it and when the deadline should be met.

Animatic Storyboard Survey Results

- Most people agreed that there is a relationship between the pace of the music and the visuals. Which is important as I want to sync the visuals with the song, so the story makes sense. -

- A lot of people noticed that there was inter-textual reference, two said that the inter-textual reference was from the film 'Ghost' starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore, which was surprisingly right as I didn't expect the audience to know straight away. Maybe is because they related the movie to this animatic story board and the narrative slightly reminded them of Ghost. -

There was different views on the genre and theme of the music video. A few said Romance which was right, some said it was Pop and found it unusual since the music video is about two couples, and usually Pop music doesn't always follow a couple-like story. However one said country which was right.

- Most people said that there was an efficient amount of shots used, which was a relief to me, proving that I am using the right amount of different shots. -

- Most viewers said that the storyboard follows a linear narrative and made sense to them. This is evidence that the narrative is very well organised and appeals to my target audience. -

- The good thing about this question is that most viewers said there were enough close-ups. Which is important as I'm focusing the video around the main characters life and selling his music -

- The majority of people thought that there was a lot of repetitive shots used for the animatic storyboard. To avoid this, I should use a diverse range of shots for the real video. -

-Everyone who took the survey, apparently found the music video very entertaining. According to the results all 8 viewers thought the music video was very enjoyable, which was a relief which shows that my music video is going in the right direction. I received additional and positive comments by the viewer informing me that the video was 'Very touching' and 'Promising video' -

The images shown above are my results from my Animatic Storyboard that I posted on youtube, which I then posted on facebook and asked nicely to complete my survey on surveymonkey. I thought of questions, relevant to the Animatic Storyboard asking them what they thought of it, such as, if there were too much repetitive shots used or does the narrative make sense and sync with the song. Overall I am very happy with the feedbacks I recieve from my viewers. The majority of the results were positive according to the results and the comments were decent as well. The results I recieve will help me progress when making my actual music video as it will allow me to point out mistakes and a few tweaks I could apply to make the video a lot better than what I had visualised before.

Animatic Storyboard and Survey Link

This is a link to my Animatic Storyboard which I've created by drawing roughly on a template of a storyboard, each consistent clips that will be seen in the real music video. Although the shots and the entire animatic storyboard is not accurate to the actual one, there will be a lot of adjustments and changes. After drawing out my storyboard, I filmed each frame for 10 seconds and uploaded the footages on iMovie on the mac, additionally editing every frame to sync with the song of the music. Finally after completeing it, I uploaded the storyboard on www.YouTube.com as well as www.Facebook.com to get views from people as well as feedback for improvements from people.

Please watch my Animatic Storyboard!

Before uploading my storyboard on social networks, I created a survey, consisting of 8 questions relevant to the animatic storyboard. I created this survey to get various feedbacks from people, from this I can deduce improvements and becomes helpful when creating the real music video as I can correct my wrongs and take in suggestions from people.

Please complete my survey after watching my animatic storyboard, Thank you!

Mood Board

Mood Board

This is a collage of images I have gathered from the internet, I personally chose these images as it is relevant to the music video I'm creating. The artists that inspired me were Ed Sheeran and Lady Antebellum, mainly because the genre of my song is country-pop, and these are two of my favourite artists. As you can see the I chose the film "Ghost", "The Vow" and "50 First Dates" to be in my mood board, as it inspired as well as remind me of my music video. Furthermore, I searched up random images such as the props (e.g. guitar and diary) I will be using and the locations that my music video will take part in, such as the graveyard, train station and the cable cars. Other images such as the tear drop and couples hugging and fighting are part of the music video. All of these images are brief ideas of what my audience will expect to see, the images will personally help me as I can add the actual images and act it out in real, because of the good angle and shot they are in.
